Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone!
Myself and Ellie are so excited for the year ahead of us; we have already decided on loads of things what we are going to do! Have you?
On New Years Eve I was having a bit of a downer saying that 2013 is going to be really boring and rubbish basically! However, a dear friend of mine told me that every year is going to be the same, we are going to do the same things everyday, but it's what we make of it and what we decide to do with it that makes our life so much more exciting. And in all fairness, she was right! After having heard this I reminisced on the year 2012 and came to the conclusion that as much as I do love all of the extravagance of life, it is just the silly little things which make us happy and carry on in our day-to-day lives! Therefore, this made me realize that 2013 holds so much for myself and Ellie, we are both pretty happy people meaning pretty much everything we do is funny or a slight adventure!
For this year I have decided that I am going to use this jar:
to document all of the things which I have been up to and things which have made me happy or laugh (etc) so at the end of the year I can read through them all and realize how much of a (hopefully) tremendous year I have had!
For New Years Eve night Ellie and I both stayed in at home with our family. As every year, my family and I watched Jools Holland, drank Champagne and set off a couple of fireworks. We don't really do a party on NYE because on New Years Day it is my Mums birthday (and Ellie's Aunties birthday!).
Happy birthday to my fantastic Mum and Ellie’s lovely Aunty!
Anyways, we would love to know how you spent your NYE!
We hope that happiness and love comes your way all year and that you have a fantastic year! And if you do ever feel like life is becoming a bit boring, just remember what I wrote above (what my friend told me) about making life what you want it to be :)
Lots of love from Dom&Ellie xx
